i went for a buffet at Carousel Royal Plaza Hotel on wednesday.
with kathy and hong.
33 bucks for their high tea buffet.
even though there are wide variety of food, i cant say it is worth the money.
local delicacies are probably the focus of this buffet.
there are laksa, pop-piah, nasi lemak, and other indian/malay/chinese delights to choose from.
there are also a few sashimi and clams for customers to pick.
besides their local delights, another focus would be their desserts.
there are many cakes and pies up for grabs, and customers can also make their own ice kachang.
but i couldnt complain much since this is a high tea buffet.
upon leaving, we can see them lining up seafood, such as lobsters, clams and mussels, alaska crabs and sashimi for the dinner buffet.
im so going for their lunch or dinner buffet the next time round.
i bet it would definitely be much worth the value, since im a seafood lover.
after buffet, we sent kathy to the mrt, but didnt allow her to leave for her scheduled tuition.
im feeling a little guilty but of course i would prefer her companion to bugis.
so after we displayed the little tricks up our sleeves, and with a little lies from kathy, we managed to make her stay with us.
we headed to bugis after that.
walked a little in the shopping mall, and a little bit more in street market.
me and hong couldnt find what we wanted, but kathy bought a couple of items.
kathy then suggested to have a cup of koi, so we went to iluma.
after buying koi, we sat down by the side of the shopping mall, drinking koi, and taking photos.
i really enjoyed this kind of companionship with friends.
where we can sit by the road side, relaxing, saying all kind of rubbish and nonsense.
nobody cares about how other people look at us.
nobody cares about how content-less our topics are.
and there is no awkwardness.
there was no beautiful scenery/ambient, no comfortable sofas/couch, but with such splendid friends of mine, everything just seems very enjoyable, very nice.
glad to have such a night on wednesday :)
