this week was my first week posted to mandai hill camp.
woke up early in the morning report to mandai hill medical centre.
sat at the sofa waiting for instruction.
everybody went passed asked 'eh got new medic arh?'
'ya'.
some one came to pick me up around 20 minutes later.
this guy is hasrul.
he brought me to HQ 2SIB medical cell.
an office.
i belong here.
i was brought around the building introduced to S1 S2 S3 and S4 branches.
'your ord when arh?' nsf who i encountered never fail to ask me that.
'2011 march'.
'hahas calendar haven't plan leh'.
'... ya'.
then i was brought to my bunk.
4 man bunk.
dusty.
but should be cosy.
used some time to clean up my area and unpack my stuffs.
went down to med cell afterward.
3 guys inside.
weijian henry and hasrul.
henry is my spec.
they told me monday was brigade off day.
so they were going off after their stuffs were done.
their work were finish before 1000.
so we went back to our bunk, changed, and book out; monday had half day off.
i texted kathy and told her about it and she asked whether i want to go to ntu to crash her lessons.
since i was so free that day i went.
but i went home first before going to ntu to look for kathy.
and yujing.
so over there we had our lunch together.
they brought me to an economic elective lecture.
a 2 hours lecture.
i slept more than half of it.
simply because it was too boring and not understandable.
however according to them the lecturer is already one of the best.
whatever.
went home with kathy after that.
tuesday i did my first supervise cover.
kinda blur.
then later i was brought to the medical centre to formally introduce to everyone in the medical centre including the senior medic there.
heard stories of the SM before i came.
well, i shall not comment here.
wednesday onwards, my OJT started.
did registration on wednesday.
thursday wasnt fruitful.
friday did treatment and triage.
oh btw, im posted to a stay in unit.
but i get to book out after roll call every monday to wednesday.
which is nights out.
roll call usually is at 515 and it would not last for more than 5mins.
so far i get to book out before 6 everytime this week.
im now glad that i wasnt posted to the medical centre actually.
